We call those "Wellies" (after the Duke of Wellington, who wore similar boots, in leather and without polka dots), and on any given day we see people here wearing them to walk their dogs, go to town, etc. Almost every day is Welly day, and almost everyone has a pair. I got Michelle a pair for Christmas - in fact, I tried to get her some polka-dot ones like that but they were sold out everywhere we looked so she got little whales on hers instead.
Haha the deleted comments were mine. Celeste left a comment saying "I don't have any yet!" but she did it under MY profile name by accident, so it sounded like I had posted about getting boots and then again about how much I wish I had some. I deleted them to maintain consistency. Sorry, Celeste! I love that you thought they were Aaron's.

Those are very stylish! Middlebury College students are often seen in such digs. Laurel has a plaid pair.
Hold on, I thought you had purchased the boots already.
They're stylin'...so if you have I'm jealous already.
I just want to know who those deleted comments were from...probably Aaron
